Academic Support
CLE provides academic support to students with a variety of special needs. CLE tailors its academic support to each student’s need based on his or her abilities and academic goals. Students have access to subject-specific tutors, as well as adaptive technology to complete assignments. CLE collaborates with the office of disabilities at each student’s college to obtain extra time for tests and assignments as necessary.

Independent Living Skills
CLE helps students of varying abilities develop the independent living skills necessary to transition to independent living away from home. Students learn how to follow a schedule, navigate public transportation, cook and do laundry. Students receive tailored instruction based on their abilities and specific special need.

Social Skills
At CLE, students with special needs learn the skills necessary to navigate social settings at work, school and beyond. Social skills guidance is tailored for each student’s special needs. Instruction techniques include acting exercises, planned outings, event-planning guidance and group discussion. Through these techniques, students learn how to search out events, meet new people and participate in job interviews.
